2023 Artist Statement:
My current art practice focuses on the visual representation of the psychological weight of emotions. With an emphasis on color, be it the presence or the absence of color, I am bringing attention to negative emotions like hatred, anger, and sadness through the use of distorted figures and the explorations of collaged slow shutter speed photographs. These distortions present these emotions visually and viscerally.
